Hi there, I hope all is good. Here is some 'vidspiration' to feast on: Do you like 'slide' videos? If you like or use slide decks (maybe you have them on your drive already) study YouTuber Deya. She makes rocking talking head videos combined with slides to layer information and add visual interest. This example is called "the only way to hit 100k subs on YouTube in 2026' and it is worth a watch for anyone! Watch here 👇 What do you think of niche bending? This is an interesting video by VidIQ. If you think you have a dull niche or are stuck in a rut making your content more interesting - then borrow a successful style from another niche! Watch here 👇 👉 Have you seen an example of a niche bending channel you can tell me about to feature next time? Crazy mic hacks Do you own a wireless mic that has a magnetic mount? Personally I love my DJI mic mini! Well I have noticed interesting ways of using a mic transmitter like a reporter style handheld mic by attaching it to something. This example looks like it's attached to a paintbrush, plus added eyes :) ... and here we have it magnetically mounted on a spoon! It certainly makes the viewer take notice and could be used effectively in short-form videos to stop the scroll. This went viral ... Talking about getting creative with magnetic cameras, in this case the DJI Nano which is a tiny and hugely popular camera you can attach to magnetic metal if you don't have a tripod and need to fix it to a lamp post for example. Well 82 million views on this shorts idea above ☝️ by an athlete shows how a creative action cam idea can go viral. Own a video studio? Need clients? I like how this company is harnessing Eventbrite to offer low ticket intro video sessions to get boots through the door. No doubt plenty of upsells available and the prospect of clients returning for more content after the taster. This is so obvious but ... I have been plotting some of my own house and garden renovations. Whether it's a garden office company, interior designer, decorator or builder I have been sending them short, succinct video walkthroughs alongside any images of the work I need. They love them and respond fast. These days it's hard (in the UK) to hire good people, so they get to 'meet you' in the video, see you are serious, and get instant clarification on the work before even visiting. Shoot more videos!
