Insane Live Video Launch

The Marketing web has gone nuts over Alex Hormozi's Live $100m Money Models book launch that apparently netted him $150m this weekend.

There is a seven hour (!) replay on YouTube but I have no idea when or if it will be pulled down, so go check it out asap.

So much to learn from it, plus some controversy about his offer where you get 200 books free to gift to fellow business owners.

ScreenFlow update

Finally ScreenFlow (a mac based editing tool) has given us a small update.

10.5 might not be huge but there is a lot of speculation this means that after a big delay ScreenFlow 11 might be incoming.

For sure we need AI driven captioning tools!

One commenter wrote "I think this is just a stopgap to show they've restarted development."

🀞 Fingers crossed.

Instagram introduces repost feature

"Users will have the ability to repost public Reels and grid posts from other accounts. And similar to TikTok, reposts will be collected in a designated tab on your profile and sprinkled into the feeds of people who follow you.

It’s a small but meaningful shift from how Instagram currently operates: until now, the most efficient way to share other users’ content was to repost it on your Instagram Story. Now, you can essentially reblog it."

Random but ...

So as you know I was recently on vacation in Japan, and last week I was in Belgrade, Serbia.

I have now discovered the beauty of eSIMS. You can, in a few clicks via the app store have an abundance of data on your phone to get around and survive abroad without needing a physical sim card.

Having lots of data available abroad is great if you like to watch videos and of course upload content to social platforms.

I used Airalo on my iPhone - you need an unlocked device.

It worked a treat, even in semi-remote areas. I spent about Β£20 ($27) for a fortnight of heavy use in Japan and you can top it up in a jiffy.

You can get Β£2.50 off you first purchase with referral code PAUL45806

Audio tip

I do like the rising YouTube Vlogger Victoria, but I noticed her wireless microphone is so directional the lack of background atmosphere makes the audio sound artificial.

This link should be cued up.

To fix the issue, when filming in the garden Victoria should sit silent for a minute or so at the end and record just the atmosphere (called a buzz track) then put that audio (can loop it to extend) on the track below her mic audio.

Then balance the volume so the wireless mic audio sounds less isolated as it blends with the separately recorded background atmosphere.

Done.

Cool kids only?

I notice a new kind of video glasses launching.

"Record videos up to 10 minutes long in the right aspect ratio for your platform. Sensor is 12MP and supports 10-bit colour and HDR."

"Preserve spontaneous authentic moments by double-clicking the shutter. Save the past minute of what you saw without needing to hit record beforehand."

Stylish too!
